Kevin Hays Fire Consulting sends forensic support team to aid in Georgia Investigation
Kevin Hays Fire Consulting was recently requested to investigate a large loss fire in coastal Georgia. Our Forensic Support Team responded this week to begin methodically sifting through the remains of a large residential structure.
Especially in cases involving extensive loss or damage, determining the cause and origin is critical to the resolution of the investigation for insurers, as well as closure for the property owners. Residential fire investigation calls for precise attention to detail and an experienced understanding of fire behavior.
In theses photos from the scene, members of our forensic team utilize tools and technology to begin piecing together the story of this fire. Fire Forensic Technician Daniel employs a drone with high quality video and still capture capability to create a clear aerial view of the entire scene. Certified Fire and Explosives Investigator Josey is shown as he delicately pieces through debris to uncover any possible clues to the origin and cause of the fire.
Once the information and evidence are gathered by respective team members, a final report is compiled, reviewed, and submitted to the agencies or clients involved.
If necessary, potential physical evidence gathered from the scene can be collected and removed to either our specialized laboratory or storage facility which maintained and operated by Kevin Hays Fire Consulting. At this facility, the artifacts can be further tested or preserved for future review.
